What do you consider your greatest achievement to date?

Getting signed to a major record label. Especially since it was my dream label, Interscope Records! I also got some bonuses…Flipsyde, Cherrytree Records (with Martin as my A&R) and Konlive (Akon).

What do you consider your greatest asset?

I’ve always said my work ethic! Everyone who knows me also knows that I’m a total workaholic. My good friend Colby O’Donis is too… he often tells others that I’m the only female he knows who can work for hours on end like he does.

What is your nationality and/or religion?

I’m of mixed heritage and religious backgrounds (english/irish/german/american indian/french/polish/russian/jewish/christian on my mother’s side and greek/swedish/danish/african american/german/mormon/christian on my father’s side). My roots literally define the phrase “American Melting Pot”!

Where would you most like to live?

I fell in love with Stockholm, Sweden while there, it’s so quaint and homey…but I live in California and love it. Nothing beats what I already call home! Plus, I love my family too much to live anywhere they are not!

Which historical figure do you most identify with?

History was always my worst subject (math related subjects were my best). As much as I’d love to come up with an incredibly witty, smart, and awe inspiring answer I can’t really think of anyone that I completely identify with. There are many I admire though! Rosa Parks comes to mind because I strongly believe in standing up for what you believe in, speaking your mind, and making a change.

What are some qualities you most like in a guy?

Humor, wit, intelligence, determination, loyalty, and confidence.

Have you ever been in love?

Yes.

You have had more girls pretending to be you on the net than possibly anyone else. How do you feel about this?

People eventually stumble upon the real me so I no longer worry about it. I could make a movie out of the hilarious stories about “fakes” though! When I was a junior in high school my mom got a call from my very conservative school asking why I was #1 on a website that was like a “hot or not” type of site. Some girl was pretending to be me and my mom couldn’t sleep for days over it. In my senior year a classmate’s mother pretended to be me (used my photos and life on a fake MySpace). I had one girl who did it over and over so much that we had to hire a private investigator to make her stop. Most recently my mom was exchanging photos with an old friend from her high school years and when she sent him my MySpace link, he informed her that a friend of his was corresponding with a “girl from Russia” who looked “just like” me. He investigated and it turns out that some Russian site has my photos and some girl named Svetna uses them to lure men to give her money so she can “move to America to be with them”.

Which words or phrases do you most overuse?

Hahahahahaha….. (I laugh too much). E.E. Cummings once said, “The most wasted of all days is one without laughter.” So I guess my days are happy and full =)

Which talent would you most like to have?

I’d love to be a skillful and astonishingly talented pianist!

Do you have a motto?

“Live your dream, don’t just dream it.”

Have you had a recent moment of happiness?

That moment on stage during a performance with Flipsyde where everything feels incredibly surreal. There’s not a care in my head, and no matter what country I’m in, or what language the audience speaks, everyone can share that euphoria.

What are a couple of your fears?

Not becoming the best I can possibly be.

That second when you’re home alone before bed washing your face and you first open your eyes. I’m always afraid I’ll look into the mirror and see someone standing behind me … I’ve watched too many horror movies

What is the trait you most deplore in yourself?

My lateness. It’s not a lack of respect for others… I think it’s a genetic defect. I literally cannot calculate how long something takes to do.

What kind of person annoys you?

Lazy people with no aspirations. Those who need to belittle others in order to feel superior for whatever reason. People who spend their day(s) online insulting people, even more so if it’s incognito. Those who think that income/wealth defines a person.

What is your greatest extravagance?

THE CONTENTS OF MY CLOSET

What is your current state of mind?

Creative, excited, grateful, loving, perseverant, content, spontaneous… my mind is always a miscellany of thoughts and feelings.

What one thing do you dislike most about your appearance?

Certain freckles.

Which living person do you most despise?

Carrying around hatred for someone is too much work. I try to always forgive and forget. It’s honestly not that hard to do.

Who is your favorite fictional character?

SINCE THE AGE OF 3… Alice in Wonderland
