Last week INTERSCOPE RECORDS announced that I’ve been added to FLIPSYDE... and that KonLive/Cherrytree/Interscope will release our album this September.
Flipsyde is our main focus right now, when our tour is over I’ll start recording my solo album. I’m feeling VERY blessed and REALLY excited. I’m happy that I’m finally allowed to share my news with my MySpace family because a lot of you have been with me since the day I posted my first song =)
Our first single will be on the radio in a few weeks!!!!!
I was at the studio recording with Flipsyde and guess who I ran in to? ROBIN THICKE!!!! He kept coming out to the common kitchen area and so we chatted it up, he is such a doll! At first he didn’t seem to remember me so I had to remind him that I opened for him in Florida. He had arrived late and missed my show but we had met after HIS SHOW was over (last summer). He was like "Oh yeah you’re the girl whose shower I used!" Haha... yeah, it was kind of surprising when he knocked on the trailer door and asked to use my shower. He is so sweet, really genuine and just down to earth...his wife is adorable too :)
As I was leaving later that night he said, "Hey Chantelle let me introduce you to my friend.... this is Ne-Yo". "Ummm ya, I CAN SEE haha! :) :) :)" He was so so cute! FYI, so you guys understand how exciting this was for me, Robin Thicke and NeYo’s Cd’s are both constantly in my car cd player - I’m in love with both of their albums!
I want to introduce you to some important men in my life ;p FLIPSYDE... I'm working with Flipsyde on their new album. AKON is producing it. This will be Flipsyde's 2nd album - and it will be released late spring/early summer - so add my boys and stay tuned for more exciting FLIPSYDE news!
So .... I'm going to have some exciting news for you guys soon! Yay, I can't wait to share it with you =) =) It's huge, it's unreal, it's my dream. Don't you hate when people do that to you? I can't tell you yet haha. But keep checking back.
